Privacy Policy

The short version

This is a portfolio and services site. There are no accounts and no payments are taken through it. Personal data is processed in exactly two situations: when you submit the contact form, and when you consent to cookies. If you decline, the site carries on working exactly the same.

Who is responsible

What data is collected?

Contact form

When you fill in the form, the data you send me is:

• Full name
• Company name
• Email address or phone number
• The service you're interested in and your estimated budget range
• The free text you write in the message field

You fill these in yourself; the site asks for nothing beyond them. I'd suggest not writing more than necessary in the message field — in particular, don't put sensitive data such as national ID numbers, health information or financial account details there.

Cookies and measurement

If you consent, visit statistics and ad performance are measured through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. That places cookies on your device and processes data such as your IP address, browser information and which pages you visited. For details, see the Cookie Policy.

If you don't consent, or decline, these cookies are never set and no measurement runs. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie Policy page.

Server logs

The infrastructure hosting the site keeps technical access logs (IP address, request time, browser information) for security and error tracking. These logs are not used for advertising or profiling and are not shared with anyone for marketing purposes.

Why is the data processed?

• To answer your enquiry: so I can reply when you fill in the form.
• To prepare a proposal: so I can scope and budget the work you describe.
• To improve the site: to understand which content works (only with your consent).
• To measure ad performance: to see which ads work (only with your consent).
• Security: to detect abuse and attacks.

Who is the data shared with?

I do not sell your personal data and do not pass it to third parties for marketing. I do, however, use the following service providers to run the site, and the data technically passes through their systems:

I may also have to share data where there is a legal obligation to do so (a court order or a request from a public authority).

Is your data transferred internationally?

Yes. The providers above operate servers outside Türkiye, and I am based in Türkiye. When you submit the contact form or consent to cookies, your data is transferred across borders. That transfer rests on the explicit consent you give when submitting the form. If you aren't comfortable with it, write to kaanerenmemisoglu@gmail.com directly instead of using the form.

How long is data kept?

• Form messages:enquiries that don't go anywhere are kept for at most 12 months, then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a project, correspondence and contracts are kept for the statutory retention period (10 years under the Turkish Commercial Code).
• Analytics data: retained by Google for at most 14 months and processed in aggregate.
• Server logs:kept for a short period under the infrastructure provider's policy (typically up to 30 days).

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased and to object to its processing. If you are in the EU or UK, these rights arise under the GDPR / UK GDPR; you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because I am established in Türkiye, the same rights are also set out under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) in the KVKK disclosure notice, which is published in Turkish as the statutory original.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at people under 18 and I do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child has shared data through this site, write to me and I will delete it.

If this policy changes

If there is a material change to the policy, I update the “last updated” date on this page. I'd suggest checking back occasionally before continuing to use the site.
