Standard Maintenance
For brochure sites and landing pages: system health monitoring, backups, security updates and regular checks.
Operations · Service
Launching is the start, not the finish. Certificates expire, dependencies develop vulnerabilities, integrations break quietly. Maintenance packages exist so that I notice before you do.
What you get
The list below isn't a marketing promise, it's the delivery list. It goes in the contract too.
Security updates tracked and applied
Regular backups and a guaranteed way back
Prioritised response when something goes down
A regular, readable report on how the system is doing
Scope
At every step I share plainly what has been completed and what comes next.
For brochure sites and landing pages: system health monitoring, backups, security updates and regular checks.
For mid-sized projects such as stores and dashboards: everything in Standard, plus 36 hours of technical support a year and prioritised response.
For SaaS products, mobile apps and critical systems: everything in Maintenance + Support, plus development starting at 72 hours a year, continuous monitoring, an analytics review and prioritised planning.
Deliverables
On a one-off project, the source code, design files and accounts are yours once it's complete, and you're under no obligation to keep working with me. If you continue with a monthly arrangement, the working copy stays with me so the code stays current, and you receive it in its latest state when the arrangement ends.
Frequently asked
I moved the most common proposal-stage questions here; neither of us enjoys email ping-pong.
No. You can take delivery and run the project with your own team; the code and documentation are yours. If you continue with a maintenance agreement or monthly development, the working copy stays with me so the code stays current, and you receive it in its latest state when the arrangement ends. Maintenance is an option for when there's nobody to carry the technical load.
Maintenance is an annual agreement, paid in a single payment. There's no auto-renewal and no cancellation process: when the year ends, you renew at the current price if you want to continue; if not, the agreement simply ends.
Hours are an annual total; you use them as needed over the course of the agreement, and they don't carry into the next year. That's what reserving the capacity for you means.
Small fixes and minor requests come out of your package hours. Larger pieces of work — a new module or an integration — are quoted separately at a fixed price before work starts, so there's never any ambiguity about what the package covers.
Sometimes. I start with a paid technical review and tell you whether the code is in a state that can be taken over. If it's too problematic to inherit, I'll say so honestly.
Response time depends on the package and is written into the contract. Standard Maintenance responds within business days; higher packages get prioritised, shorter response. I don't offer guaranteed 24/7 response; if you need that, I'll tell you up front.
No. Hosting, domain, licence and third-party service fees are separate and paid from your own accounts. Those accounts are opened in your name, so you're never locked into depending on me.
